BlueBuddy is a company specialising in the delivery of content to mobile or Bluetooth enabled devices. Currently about 70% of the installed base of mobile phones in the UK work with this technology, almost all Sony, Ericsson and Nokia phones work very well, so this technology is best suited to consumer focused activities.
Blue Buddy offers two technologies Push and Pull:
PUSH: Is where content is broadcast to mobile phones and devices, that are within a 100meter range of one of our servers. This enables the receiver to download the offered content for free and no mobile numbers are recorded, also every device in range will be offered the download.
PULL: Is generally supported by print or other media where a poster or similar can offer you to send a picture of yourself or a contact card via Bluetooth to our server which can be named to support the promotion. Once the server receives the contact or image it will record the mobile number and send the free content via Bluetooth.

The type of content that can be delivered is:Audio Mp3 and Video 3gpp, Text, Animation, Images, Links for web or SMS
This is content created for MK Culture for the promotion of there cultural strategy and a new culture shop. Transmitted in high footfall area as well as ares with public art.
Content can be pre loaded or the unit can be connected to a network via a standard network socket or a GPRS card can be used for remote access to the unit for content updates.
The Units
Servers are about the size of a think paperback book and in conjunction with a battery pack (Lithium; 240 hours usage) the units can be used stand alone or networked.
